Last night we were officially “home.”

With the smell of sauce and meatballs cooking all day, wedding planning, and watching a movie on our new couch; that’s when we both realized we were finally home.

It’s weird to finally be settled in our new space where there are no memories yet.

It’s weird not to walk into a room and know you’ve made happy or sad memories there.

It’s weird not to see your trauma unfolding in your eyes when you’re sitting in your living room thinking about those days.

Home. The house doesn’t make a home, the people do. Keith said to me this morning it finally feels like we’re home and I’m beyond excited for what‘s to come for us here!

There is so much good ahead for us. So much potential. I see more dinners together. I see dancing in the kitchen. I see movie nights. I see family visiting. I can imagine such a bright future for us.

There’s not much to this except for to say that today I am happy. xo

The age old saying “home is where the heart is” is so true. Love seeing the beautiful smiles on both your faces. ♥️
