Body shaming

I’m at the lake “living my best life” and there are sooo many girls, who are smaller than me, embarrassed to take their shirts off.
When did this become the norm? When do girls stop thinking they’re beautiful and become body conscious? (Same with men, I see 5 year olds “showing off their muscles,” and then one day they just stop.)
It’s up to us to let them know they’re not alone. Every single woman has thought this about some part of their body in their life.
I didn’t want to go through with my life saving surgeries because they were going to leave me with scars everywhere. I thought I would be judged more. The big girl with the cellulite and the scars all over her body. Now, it’s the first thing I want to show off.
I’m not perfect. I’m still sitting here in a bathing suit thinking I should cover up. But why? Because someone across the beach may judge me?
To hell with them I say!
Be you! Be your own beautiful self! Be your own hype girl! Spread kindness. Hype someone else up!
Life is too short! Live it however you want!
