Body positivity.
It’s hard. As a woman, it’s really fucking hard. I try my best to preach this to anyone and everyone around me.
Love. 👏 Your. 👏 Body. 👏
Do you know how much this shell is doing and has done for you?
My shell of a body has gone above and BEYOND what I expected it to do for me. So here‘s what I need to do to take care of it.
1) put good things into my body
2) treat my mental health the same way you would treat any other issue
3) don’t be ashamed of what it looks like
4) that’s really just about it
I rocked every bathing suit on my honeymoon all week long… but there were definitely moments when I looked at Keith and asked him if I looked ok because I was feeling self conscious and having self doubts…
Why? Because my body has curves?
Why? Because my body has scars?
Why? Because I don’t look like the girl next to me?
I am 100% doing my best everyday to let my head and my heart know that the way that I look is exactly how I’m supposed to. My shell is keeping my entire being together.
So while I may not “feel that I look my best” at times, I do my best to talk myself out of it and still have a great time while taking care of myself and my body.
It’s always mind over matter. We got this. We are stronger than our thoughts.
So gurl, rock that bathing suit. Rock whatever makes YOU comfortable just being you.
