This title, means more to me than it ever has before.
It goes without saying how thankful I am for the doctors who saved my life, who gave me a chance to become the best me I can possibly be.
I sent them gift cards this morning for coffee to say thank you. That doesn’t even begin to touch the gratitude that I have for them, but it’s all that I can do.
“Brink and Stan” (these poor doctors who went through grueling medical school and I have given them nicknames) have gone above and beyond with my care. They both said numerous times that they did not think I was going to come back from XYZ, whatever that was at the time, and every time I persevered with their help.
Getting me to the finish line and continuing to walk through my journey with me. Making me “part” of the SICU with a matching sweatshirt. Checking in on how I’m feeling, not just physically, but on my mental health.
Again, thank you is not enough, especially for these two guys and their entire teams, but it’s all I have to give.
I am sincerely grateful to be here today. I get to see my nanny kids today again and watch them grow and play in the sunshine.
So this morning, I raise my coffee mug to Brink and Stan ☕️❤️

We all are so grateful to the whole staff. They got you home to us. Thank you for taking care of my Kimmi❤️
