Stairway to the penthouse

These stairs... these 38 stairs, pushed me to work harder than I ever have in my life. They set the tone for how I was going to accomplish becoming stronger again. I had no choice but to get up them. How else was I going to get into my house?

I used to say no one would visit us because we lived in the penthouse and no one wanted to walk up the stairs and it was kind of awesome.

But without those stairs I never would’ve worked so hard. I am extremely thankful for this house because I had no choice but to make progress or be stuck up there forever like Rapunzel in her tower.

Big shout out to Kina, my in home physical therapist, who literally kicked my ass every step of the way all while encouraging me.

It’s safe to say I’m happy not to live on a third floor walk up anymore but I will absolutely miss it, as it’s the place where I got better.

Be kind to your body.
