The thunder rolls & the lightening strikes

Get up and fight. We only get one life.

Nothing is promised to us after this one. Just the hopes that there is a higher power and a bigger place for us to go home to when it’s all over.

This is what we get. Here and now. I’m sitting here with the shitty cards I was dealt and I’m dealing with it.

I will never fold.

I just got told that my hearing is never coming back. I guess that’s what I traded in for getting to keep my life so I’ll take it as a win.

Depression? Yes, I have it. I won’t lie or try to milk it. Some days you pull the blankets back over your head and take a “mental health” day, others you push your ass out of that bed because you’re just happy to be alive!
