What the road said

My nanny kids handed me this book to read to them, all snuggled up on the couch. Not knowing anything about it we started reading...

I didn’t know how much this book would have an impact on me, an adult, as it’s a children’s book with illustrations.

I immediately had to order myself a copy of this from amazon because I needed to read it again. In the quiet. To process my own thoughts about “the road.”

The road I’m on right now is so bumpy and there are potholes everywhere, but it’s also so strong. That concrete under my feet is helping me stand up tall and face whatever the road throws my way. I know that I will be ok because “that’s what the road said.”

I will be passing this book around from address to address. From place to place. From person to person. I think it’s more necessary for adults to read than children.

It reminds us that that although life may get tough, we must always keep going.
